Bearbrick x ILLEST 100% & 400% Set

Bearbrick, the widely known building-block bear toy produced by Japanese company MediumICOM, officially launched in August 2001. By 2009, the 18 th generation had been released. Distributed in mainland China by PPW.
Nicknames: Bearbrick, BE@RBRICK, BB, Building Block Bear, Brick Bear, Versatile BE@RBRICK.

Bearbrick Overview:

Styles:Each Bearbrick generation features base models, including BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC Base Model:Each generation features one main color as its signature shade, with one bead on the chest and 9 letters that spell out B E A R B R I C K.

JELLYBEAN Transparent:Each generation features a transparent variant. Primarily transparent, yet released in various colors.

PATTERN:Each generation features distinct patterns, prints, or special designs.

FLAG Collection:Each generation features a core national flag series.

HORROR Collection:Horror anime icons featured across generations.

CUTE designs:Each generation features one cute design, typically created by female designers.

ANIMAL designs:Each series includes one animal-themed design—not necessarily a real animal. The 18 collection features the iconic Hello Kitty.

SF Sci-Fi Style:Choose a well-known sci-fi character as the design element.

ARTIST Series:Specially designed by renowned artists, limited quantities (2 per generation).

Each generation also features hidden variants in varying quantities. These designs are never officially revealed—players must discover them on their own.

Bearbrick x ILLEST 100% & 400% Set
Sizes:6 sizes: 3.5 cm at 50%, 7 cm at 100%, 5 cm at 70%, 14.5 cm at 200%, 28 cm at 400%, and 70 cm at 1000%

Specs:Each generation includes a birth certificate for every bear, plus one or several limited or hidden editions to enhance the collecting experience.

Material:The primary materials used in Bearbrick toys are ABS and PVC, with select limited editions crafted from metal, wood, or flocked finishes.

Origin:Most are manufactured in mainland China, with a small number of limited editions produced abroad.

Version:Versions labeled 'Japan,' 'Hong Kong,' etc. refer only to the market of sale—no difference exists in the toy itself. All are produced by the same manufacturer. Varying regional regulations may result in different certification labels, but the product remains identical. Mainland China versions are the same as Japanese versions.

Physical characteristics:

Head:Typical bear-head design: both ears equal in size (unlike Qee's mismatched ears), cheeks slightly puffed, nose as a small rounded bump, no mouth or eyes (bare body), head rotates 360° at the neck

Torso:Bulging abdomen, straight back

Arms:100% style features fully rotating shoulders, claw-shaped fingerless hands, and wrists that rotate freely (key distinguishing feature from popobe and other bear plush toys)
Waist:Full 360° rotation; hips slightly extended downward.

Legs:The legs can rotate freely in all directions at the hip joint. The tops of the feet extend slightly forward with two round holes each. The soles are flat with one round hole in each foot. The legs are cube-shaped. Version information is usually found on the back of the legs.

Disassembly:In principle, the head, arms, and legs of Bearbrick can all be separated from the torso (just pull hard and they come off; the hands cannot be separated). However, this is not recommended for play, as repeated separation will loosen the connectors, eventually leading to habitual separation where the parts lose their internal structure and become wobbly and loose.

400%, 1000% Special Notes:The 400% and 1000% Bearbrick share the same body shape, just scaled up. However, their arms and legs only rotate forward and backward within a single plane and cannot pivot outward. This is due to their larger size and internal gear mechanism—unlike the 100%, which is simply modular assembly. Additionally, these two sizes are non-disassemblable, so avoid using force.

Origin:Bearbrick's limbs and torso resemble block figures because Bearbrick adapted the Kubkub design. The Kubrick concept originated from LEGO's block figures, and Medicom Company then developed Bearbrick based on that.

Character:Bearbrick's widespread popularity stems from its innovative design and meticulous painting, but more importantly, Medicom found the perfect niche—cross-industry collaborations merging street culture, films, and fashion with Bearbrick, creating entirely new forms of art. Partnerships with global artists, designers, and popular brands have produced limited and special editions. Bundled sales with trendsetting fashion labels often trigger overnight queuing and frenzied purchasing. Prices have climbed steadily, making future collection a costly endeavor.

FAQ

Notes on authenticity, packaging, DOG TG, silver care, and official CHHES channels.

1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?

CHHES follows a five-step authenticity process: sourcing review, inbound inspection, third-party authentication support, tamper-evident tagging, and after-sales review.

Items are mainly sourced from Chrome Hearts boutiques, professional buyers, and partner stores. Every item is checked before shipping.

Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.

Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.

Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

If you have any authenticity concern after delivery, keep the item, tags, packaging, and authentication proof intact, then contact dedicated support for review.

If this is your first order and you prefer a secured checkout path, you can also purchase through the Taobao store or WeChat mini program. Contact support for details.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?

For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.

3. What packaging is included?

Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.

Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.

Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.

Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.

If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.

4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?

Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.

Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.

5. What should I know about craftsmanship?

Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.

Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.

6. What is a buyer store?

A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.

CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.

To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.

7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?

A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.

A buyer store works with professional buyer teams and overseas partner stores, so supply is broader and less limited by one person or one location.

8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?

Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.

9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.

Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.

If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.

Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.

10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?

Ring pattern examples across different sizes

Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.

11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?

Chrome Hearts silver oxidation color example

Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.

12. What are the official CHHES channels?

Please use official CHHES channels: www.chhes.com, WeChat mini program chhes, Taobao store chhes, WeChat chhes2, Douyin chhes, RED chhes1, Kuaishou chhes, and Weibo chhes.

If a store has a similar name, unusually low pricing, or cannot be verified by official support, contact CHHES support before ordering.
