Bearbrick, also known as the Building Block Bear, is a toy produced by Japanese company MediumICOM. Launched in August 2001, its 18 th generation had arrived by 2009. Mainland China distribution is handled by PPW.

Styles:Each generation features base models: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, ANIMAL.
BASIC Base Model:Each generation releases a signature color with a shiny bead on the chest and 9 letters that spell B E A R B R I C K when combined.
JELLYBEAN Transparent:Each generation features a transparent variant. The base remains transparent with different colors released.
PATTERN version:Each generation features unique patterns, prints, or special designs.
FLAG Country Flag series:Each generation features a basic national flag theme.
HORROR Style:Anime characters with enduring horror appeal across generations.
CUTE Style:Each generation features a cute design, most often created by female designers.
ANIMAL:Each generation includes a design featuring animal elements—not necessarily realistic animals. Series 18 features the iconic Hello Kitty.

Material:Bearbrick's primary materials are ABS and PVC, with select limited editions featuring metal, wood, or flocked finishes.
Origin:Most are manufactured in mainland China, with a small number of limited editions produced abroad.
Version:When collectors refer to "Japanese version" or "HK version," these refer only to the region of sale. The toys themselves are identical — all made by the same manufacturer. The only difference may be additional certification labels required by local regulations. Everything else is exactly the same. The Mainland China version is identical to the Japanese version.
Physical Features:
Head:Typical bear-head features: both ears are the same size (unlike the asymmetric Qee design), cheeks and lips slightly puffed, a small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank face), and a 360° swivel neck
Torso:Belly rounded, back straight
Arms:100% model features fully rotating shoulders, pincer-style hands with no separate fingers, and rotating wrists—a key feature distinguishing it from Popobe and other jointed bears.
Waist:360° rotatable with slightly extended back.
Legs:Legs rotate freely in all directions at the upper thigh joint. The foot extends slightly forward, with two round holes on each foot surface. Flat sole with one round hole per foot. Cubic leg silhouette. Version info typically found on the back of the leg.
Disassembly:By design, Bearbrick heads, arms, and legs can be detached from the torso (a firm pull will do—hands cannot be removed). However, frequent disassembly is not recommended; repeated separation loosens the connection points, eventually leading to 'chronic separation' where parts become loose, floppy, and wobbly with no structural integrity.
400%, 1000% Special Note:These two sizes share the same body shape as their smaller counterparts—simply larger. However, their arms and legs can only rotate within the front-back plane and cannot move sideways. This is because the larger size uses an internal gear mechanism, unlike the 100% version which relies solely on snap-together modules. Neither of these sizes is disassembly-ready; avoid applying force.
Origin:Bearbrick shares the block-figure body shape of Kubrick—a design rooted in LEGO minifigures. Medicom Toy adapted the Kubrick form to create Bearbrick.
Character:Bearbrick's widespread popularity stems from its innovative design and meticulous paintwork, but also from Medicom's strategic positioning. By cross-pollinating street culture, film, and fashion elements into Bearbrick, the brand created a fresh form of art. Collaborations with global artists, designers, and trendsetting brands yielded limited and special editions, often paired with streetwear labels for co-retail. 1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?
CHHES follows a five-step authenticity process: sourcing review, inbound inspection, third-party authentication support, tamper-evident tagging, and after-sales review.
Items are mainly sourced from Chrome Hearts boutiques, professional buyers, and partner stores. Every item is checked before shipping.
Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.
Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.
Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?
A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.
CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.
To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.
7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?
A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.
A buyer store works with professional buyer teams and overseas partner stores, so supply is broader and less limited by one person or one location.
8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?
Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.
9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
