Bearbrick Overview

Styles:Each Bearbrick generation includes basic models: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, ANIMAL
BASIC base model:Each generation releases one color as its signature. It features a shiny bead on the chest, followed by 9 letters that spell B E A R B R I C K.

JELLYBEAN translucent model:Each generation features translucent coloring as the main style, with different colors released.

PATTERN Pattern styleEach generation features different patterns, prints, or special designs

FLAG Flag styleEach generation includes a basic flag series

HORROR:Terrorizing anime characters across every generation.

CUTE:每一代中,选取一个可爱的设计,多数由女性设计师完成。

ANIMAL series:Each generation features an animal-themed design. It doesn't have to be a real animal—the iconic Hello Kitty was featured in the 18 series.

SF 科幻款:选择一个知名的科幻形象为元素。

ARTIST 艺术家款:Specially designed by renowned artists, very limited. (2 per series)

Additionally, each series includes hidden designs in undisclosed quantities—official releases never reveal the styles, leaving collectors to discover them on their own.

BE@RBRICK 1000% Breaking Bad Pink Bear
Size:Six sizes available: 3.5 cm (50%), 5 cm (70%), 7 cm (100%), 14.5 cm (200%), 28 cm (400%), and 70 cm (1000%)

Specifications:Each generation includes a birth certificate for every bear, along with one or several limited-edition or hidden-edition releases to enhance the collectible experience.

Materials:Bearbrick is primarily made from ABS and PVC, with some limited editions crafted from metal, wood, or flocked materials.

Origin:Most Bearbrick pieces are manufactured in mainland China, with a small number of limited editions produced overseas.

Version:Players often refer to "Japanese version" or "Hong Kong version," but these labels simply indicate the region of sale—there are no differences in the actual product. All items are manufactured by the same producer. Due to varying regional regulations, different certification labels may be applied, but the product itself is identical. The mainland version is exactly the same as the Japanese version.

Physical Features:

Head:Typical bear head: equal-sized ears (unlike Qee's mismatched ears), cheeks slightly puffed, small round nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank face), 360° swivel neck joint.

Torso:Belly rounded, back straight.

Arms:100% version features a swivel shoulder, claw-shaped hands with no individual fingers, and a swivel wrist (the key distinguishing feature from other bears like Popobe)
Waist:360° swivel; hips slightly elongated downward.

Legs:Freely rotatable at the thigh joint in all directions. Top of foot extends slightly forward with two round holes on each foot. Flat sole with one round hole on each foot bottom. Cube-shaped leg. Version info is usually on the back of the leg.

Disassembly:By design, the head, arms, and legs of a Bearbrick can be detached from the torso (simply pull with force; the hands cannot be removed). However, this is not recommended—frequent separation loosens the connection points, eventually leading to permanent looseness where the limbs hang and wobble without structure.

400%, 1000% Special Notes:These two Bearbrick sizes are identical in form, just larger. Their arms and legs can only rotate forward and backward within a single plane and cannot move sideways. This is because the larger internal structure uses a gear mechanism, unlike the 100% which relies purely on modular assembly. Neither of these sizes is intended for disassembly—never force them apart.

Place of origin:Bearbrick's limbs and body resemble a block figurine because it is based on the Kubrick design. Kubrick originated from LEGO's block figurines, and Medicom designed Bearbrick on that foundation.

Personality:Bearbrick's widespread popularity stems from its innovative design and meticulous paintwork, but also from Medicom's strategic approach: blending streetwear, pop culture, and cinema through cross-category collaborations that transform each piece into collectible art. Partnerships with global artists, designers, and trendsetting brands yield limited and special editions—often met with overnight queues—pushing prices higher and making later acquisition increasingly costly for collectors.

FAQ

Notes on authenticity, packaging, DOG TG, silver care, and official CHHES channels.

1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?

CHHES follows a five-step authenticity process: sourcing review, inbound inspection, third-party authentication support, tamper-evident tagging, and after-sales review.

Items are mainly sourced from Chrome Hearts boutiques, professional buyers, and partner stores. Every item is checked before shipping.

Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.

Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.

Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

If you have any authenticity concern after delivery, keep the item, tags, packaging, and authentication proof intact, then contact dedicated support for review.

If this is your first order and you prefer a secured checkout path, you can also purchase through the Taobao store or WeChat mini program. Contact support for details.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?

For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.

3. What packaging is included?

Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.

Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.

Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.

Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.

If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.

4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?

Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.

Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.

5. What should I know about craftsmanship?

Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.

Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.

6. What is a buyer store?

A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.

CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.

To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.

7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?

A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.

A buyer store works with professional buyer teams and overseas partner stores, so supply is broader and less limited by one person or one location.

8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?

Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.

9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.

Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.

If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.

Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.

10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?

Ring pattern examples across different sizes

Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.

11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?

Chrome Hearts silver oxidation color example

Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.

12. What are the official CHHES channels?

Please use official CHHES channels: www.chhes.com, WeChat mini program chhes, Taobao store chhes, WeChat chhes2, Douyin chhes, RED chhes1, Kuaishou chhes, and Weibo chhes.

If a store has a similar name, unusually low pricing, or cannot be verified by official support, contact CHHES support before ordering.
