积木熊 BE@RBRICK PROJECT MERCURY ASTRONAUT 100% & 400%

Bearbrick, also known to many as the building block bear, is a toy produced by Japanese company Medicom. It was officially launched in August 2001, and by 2009 the 18 th generation had been released. It is distributed in mainland China by PPW.
Nicknames: Bearbrick, be@rbrick, BB, building block bear, Brick Bear cub, Versatile Brick.

About Bearbrick:

Styles:Each Bearbrick generation includes base models: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC — Base Model:Each generation features one signature color, a glossy bead on the chest, and nine letters that spell out B E A R B R I C K when collected.

JELLYBEAN — Transparent:Each generation features translucent colors, primarily translucent finishes with varying hues.

PatternEach series features distinct prints or special patterns.

FLAG:Each generation includes a basic country flag series.

HORROR:A terrifying anime character that haunts every generation.

CUTE:One cute design is selected from each generation, most designed by women.

ANIMAL:Each generation features an animal-inspired design. They aren't necessarily real animals — the 18 series showcases the iconic Hello Kitty.

Sci-Fi Style:Features a well-known sci-fi character as the design motif.

ARTIST Edition:Specially designed by a renowned artist in very limited quantities (2 pieces per generation).

Each generation also features a varying number of undisclosed designs; the official does not release these styles, leaving it to collectors to discover them.

积木熊 BE@RBRICK PROJECT MERCURY ASTRONAUT 100% & 400%
Size:7 cm 100%, 14.5 cm 200%, 28 cm 400%, 70 cm 1000%, plus 3.5 cm 50%, 5 cm 70% — six sizes total

Specs:Each series includes a birth card for every bear, with limited and hidden editions released to enhance the collecting experience.

Materials:Bearbrick is primarily made from ABS and PVC, with select limited editions featuring metal, wood, or flocked finishes.

Origin:Most are produced in mainland China, with a small number of limited editions made abroad.

Versions:What collectors often call 'Japanese version,' 'Hong Kong version,' etc. are simply different sales regions. There is no difference in the toys themselves—they are all made by the same manufacturer. Due to different sales regions and varying local regulations, different certification labels may be applied. Everything else is identical. The mainland version is exactly the same as the Japanese version.

Physical characteristics:

Head:Typical bear head features: ears of equal size (unlike Qee's mismatched ears), slightly puffed cheek/lip area, small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank body), head rotates 360° on the neck

Body:Rounded belly, straight back

Arms:100% model offers full rotation at the shoulder, claw-shaped hand with no fingers, and full rotation at the wrist (main distinguishing feature from popobe and similar bear cub figures).
Waist:Full 360° rotation with slightly extended hips.

Legs:Legs rotate freely in all directions at the thigh joint. The top of the foot extends slightly forward, with two round holes on each footbed. The sole is flat with one round hole per foot. The leg is cube-shaped. Version information typically appears on the back of the leg.

Disassembly:In principle, the head, arms, and legs of a Bearbrick can all be separated from the torso (simply pull with force; the hands are not separable). However, this is not recommended—frequent separation loosens the connectors, eventually resulting in a "habitually disconnected" state where parts hang loose and wobble.

400%, 1000% Special Notes:The 400% and 1000% Bearbrick share the same silhouette, just scaled up. However, their arms and legs rotate only front-to-back within the same plane and cannot swing sideways, due to the internal gear mechanism made necessary by the larger size. Unlike the 100% which is simply modular assembly. Additionally, these two sizes are not disassemblable—do not force them apart.

Origin:Bearbrick's limbs and torso resemble a modular figure because it was adapted from Kubricks. Kubricks originated from LEGO block figures; Medicom subsequently designed Bearbrick based on this concept.

Features:Bearbrick's widespread popularity stems from its innovative design and meticulous painting, but also from Medicom Toy's strategic positioning. By blending streetwear culture, film, and pop culture with Bearbrick, the brand created a fresh form of art. Collaborations with artists, designers, and global brands produced limited and special editions, often paired with streetwear labels. Scenes of overnight queues became common, and prices rose accordingly—collectors now face steep costs for later acquisitions.

FAQ

Notes on authenticity, packaging, DOG TG, silver care, and official CHHES channels.

1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?

CHHES follows a five-step authenticity process: sourcing review, inbound inspection, third-party authentication support, tamper-evident tagging, and after-sales review.

Items are mainly sourced from Chrome Hearts boutiques, professional buyers, and partner stores. Every item is checked before shipping.

Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.

Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.

Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

If you have any authenticity concern after delivery, keep the item, tags, packaging, and authentication proof intact, then contact dedicated support for review.

If this is your first order and you prefer a secured checkout path, you can also purchase through the Taobao store or WeChat mini program. Contact support for details.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?

For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.

3. What packaging is included?

Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.

Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.

Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.

Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.

If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.

4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?

Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.

Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.

5. What should I know about craftsmanship?

Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.

Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.

6. What is a buyer store?

A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.

CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.

To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.

7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?

A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.

A buyer store works with professional buyer teams and overseas partner stores, so supply is broader and less limited by one person or one location.

8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?

Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.

9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.

Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.

If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.

Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.

10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?

Ring pattern examples across different sizes

Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.

11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?

Chrome Hearts silver oxidation color example

Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.

12. What are the official CHHES channels?

Please use official CHHES channels: www.chhes.com, WeChat mini program chhes, Taobao store chhes, WeChat chhes2, Douyin chhes, RED chhes1, Kuaishou chhes, and Weibo chhes.

If a store has a similar name, unusually low pricing, or cannot be verified by official support, contact CHHES support before ordering.
