Bearbrick, also widely known as the building-block bear, is a toy produced by Japan's Medicom. It officially launched in August 2001, and by 2009 the 18 th generation had already been released. Mainland China distribution is handled by PPW.

Styles:Each Bearbrick generation includes base models: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC Base Model:Each edition releases a signature color, featuring a single bead on the chest, with 9 letters that spell B E A R B R I C K.
JELLYBEAN transparent edition:Each generation features transparent colors. Primarily transparent, with varying hues.

Edition:What collectors call "Japanese version" or "Hong Kong version" refers only to the region of sale—there is no difference in the toy itself. All are produced by the same manufacturer. Variations in regional regulations may require different certification labels, but everything else is identical. Mainland China versions are exactly the same as Japanese ones.

Head:Typical bear head with matching ear size (unlike Qee's mismatched ears), slightly rounded cheeks and muzzle, small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank body), head rotates 360° at the neck

Arms:100% version features free rotation at the shoulder; pincer-shaped hand with no fingers; free rotation at the wrist (key distinguishing feature from popobe and other bear cubs)

Temple:Free rotation at upper thighs in all directions. Forefoot slightly extended, each with two circular holes. Flat sole with one circular hole per foot. Cube-shaped legs. Version details typically on leg back.
Disassembly:In principle, a Bearbrick's head, arms, and legs are all detachable from the torso (a firm pull does the trick; the hands are the exception). However, this is not recommended—frequent disassembly loosens the connection points over time, eventually leading to a "habitual separation" issue where the joints go slack and floppy without that snug fit.
400%, 1000% Special Notes:These two sizes share the same Bearbrick form, just upscaled. Their arms and legs can only rotate in the forward-backward plane—they cannot swing outward. This is because their larger bodies use an internal gear mechanism, unlike the 100% which is a simple modular snap-fit assembly. As a reminder, these sizes are also non-disassemblable; never force them apart.
Origin:Bearbrick's limbs and body resemble a block figurine because Bearbrick adopts the Kubrick form. The term Kubrick originated from LEGO's block-figure toys, which Medicom later adapted to design Bearbrick.
Character:Bearbrick's widespread popularity stems not only from its fresh design and meticulous paintwork, but also from Medicom's strategic positioning. By cross-pollinating streetwear, pop culture, and film with Bearbrick, the brand created a new form of art. Collaborations with global artists, designers, and lifestyle brands produced limited and special editions, often paired with fashion collaborations that sparked overnight queues. 2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.

9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
