Bearbrick is the popular building-block bear toy produced by Japanese company MediumICOM. It officially launched in August 2001, and by 2009 the 18 th generation had been released. It is distributed in Mainland China by PPW.
Nicknames: Bearbrick, be@rbrick, BB, Brick Bear, Brick Bear Cub, Versatile Bearbrick.
Bearbrick Overview:
Style:Each Bearbrick generation includes base models: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC Base Model:Each edition introduces a signature color, highlighted by a single bead on the chest and nine letters that spell out B E A R B R I C K.
JELLYBEAN Clear:Each iteration introduces transparent colorways. Transparent-dominant designs released in varying hues.
PATTERN Patterned:Each edition features unique patterns, prints, or special designs.
FLAG series:Each generation features a core basics collection.
HORROR Style:Terrifying anime characters that endure across generations.
CUTE Style:Each generation features a cute design, most created by female designers.
ANIMAL Animal Version:Each generation has an animal-themed model—though not necessarily a real animal. The iconic Hello Kitty appeared in Series 18.
SF (Science Fiction) series:Features a well-known sci-fi character as the central motif.
ARTIST Collection:Renowned artists are invited to create specially designed models, available in very limited quantities—only 2 per generation.
Each generation also includes hidden variants in varying numbers. The official designs of hidden variants are never announced; collectors must discover them on their own.

Material:Bearbrick is primarily made of ABS and PVC, with select limited editions crafted in metal, wood, or flocked materials.
Origin:Most Bearbrick units are manufactured in mainland China, while select limited editions are produced abroad.
Version:Players often refer to 'Japanese version,' 'Hong Kong version,' etc., but these only differ in place of sale. The toys themselves are identical—made by the same manufacturer. Any difference may only be additional certification labels required by local regulations. Everything else is exactly the same. The mainland China version is identical to the Japanese version.
Form:
Head:Typical bear head features: both ears the same size (unlike Qee's asymmetric ears), slightly rounded cheek and lip area, small rounded nose bump, no mouth or eyes (blank face), head rotates 360° at the neck
Torso:Belly protrudes; back is straight
Arms:100% version features shoulder joints that rotate 360°, claw-shaped hands with no fingers, and wrists that rotate 360° (key distinguishing feature from popobe and other bear plush toys)
Waist:360° rotation with hips slightly extended downward.
Legs:Legs can rotate freely in all directions at the thigh joint. Tops of the feet extend slightly forward, each featuring two circular holes. Flat soles with one circular hole in each. Legs have a cubic shape. Version info is typically printed on the back of the legs.
Disassembly:By design, Bearbrick's head, arms, and legs can be separated from the torso (simply pull them off with force—hands cannot be removed). However, this is not recommended. Frequent disassembly loosens the connectors, eventually leading to 'habitual separation'—the limbs become wobbly and loose without the structural support.
400% and 1000% Special Notes:These two sizes of Bearbrick are identical in shape, just larger. However, their arms and legs can only rotate forward and backward within a single plane and cannot move sideways—this is due to the larger size and internal gear design. Unlike the 100% version which is simply assembled from modules. Of course, these two sizes are also non-disassemblable; never use force...
Origin:Bearbrick's limbs and body resemble a block figure because it adopts the Kubrick form. Kubrick originated from LEGO block figures, and Medicom built Bearbrick upon this design.

1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?

Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?
A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.
CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.
To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.
7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?
A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.

8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?
Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.
9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
