Bearbrick, also known as the brick bear, is a toy produced by Japanese company Mediumi COM TOY, officially launched in August 2001; by 2009, the 18 th generation had been released. Distributed in mainland China by PPW.
Nicknames: Bearbrick, be@rbrick, BB, Brick Bear.

Bearbrick Overview:

Models:Each Bearbrick generation includes base models: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC Base Model:Each iteration features one signature color, with a single accent bead on the chest and nine letters that spell B E A R B R I C K when combined.

JELLYBEAN Translucent Edition:Each iteration showcases a translucent colorway, prioritizing transparency while offering different hues.

PATTERN:Each generation features different patterns, prints, or special designs.

FLAG:Each generation features a foundational flag-themed design.

HORROR:Each generation includes signature horror anime figures.

CUTE Style:Each series features one cute design, most created by female designers.

ANIMAL Style:Each series includes one animal-themed piece—not necessarily a real animal, like the iconic Hello Kitty in Series 18.

SF Sci-Fi Collection:Features a iconic sci-fi character motif.

ARTIST Collection:Exclusive designs by renowned artists, extremely limited. (2 per series)

Each series also includes unannounced hidden variants—official details remain under wraps, so collectors must discover them.

积木熊 BE@RBRICK 推头#6 400%
Size:Six sizes available: 3.5 cm (50%), 5 cm (70%), 7 cm (100%), 14.5 cm (200%), 28 cm (400%), and 70 cm (1,000%)

Specifications:Each generation includes a birth certificate card for every bear. Limited-edition and hidden-edition variants are also released to enhance the collecting experience.

Materials:Bearbrick is primarily made from ABS and PVC, with select limited editions featuring metal, wood, or flocked finishes.

Place of Production:Most are manufactured in mainland China, with select limited editions produced abroad.

Version:Players often refer to 'JP version' or 'HK version,' but these simply indicate different sales regions. There is no difference in the toy itself—all are produced by the same manufacturer. Due to varying regional regulations, different certification labels may be applied. Otherwise, they are completely identical. The mainland version available is exactly the same as the Japanese version.

Physical characteristics:

Head:Typical bear-head features: equal-sized ears (unlike Qee's mismatched sizes), slightly puffed cheeks and lips, small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank body), head rotates 360° at the neck

Torso:Belly protrudes, back is straight

Arms:100% version features shoulders that rotate freely, pincer-style hands with no fingers, and wrists that rotate freely (the key distinguishing feature from popobe and other bear figures)
Waist:Rotates 360° freely, with buttocks slightly extended downward.

Legs:Legs can rotate freely in all directions at the upper thigh joint. The foot tops extend slightly forward, each with two round holes. The soles are flat, each with one round hole. The legs have a cube-like silhouette. Version information is typically found on the back of the legs.

Removal:By design, the head, arms, and legs of Bearbrick can be separated from the torso (just pull hard—but the hands cannot be removed). However, frequent disassembly is not recommended; repeated separation loosens the joints over time, eventually causing the figure to become permanently wobbly and unstable.

400%, 1000% Special Notes:These two sizes of Bearbrick are identical in shape, just larger. However, their arms and legs can only rotate within the front-to-back plane and cannot move sideways. This is due to the larger size and internal gear design, unlike the 100% which is simply modular assembly. Of course, these two sizes are also non-disassemblable—do not use force to pry them apart...

Origin:Bearbrick's limbs and body resemble block-figure toys because Bearbrick adopted the Kubrick form. The term Kubrick originated from LEGO block figures, and Medicom built upon this to design Bearbrick.

Character:Bearbrick's widespread popularity stems not only from its innovative design and meticulous painting but also from Medicom's strategic approach. By crossing over with streetwear culture, movies, and fashion trends, Bearbrick has evolved into a collectible art form. Collaborations with artists, designers, and global brands have yielded limited and special editions. Partnerships with streetwear labels often spark overnight queues and frenzied buying. This surge in demand has driven prices higher, making later acquisitions a costly endeavor.

FAQ

Notes on authenticity, packaging, DOG TG, silver care, and official CHHES channels.

1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?

CHHES follows a five-step authenticity process: sourcing review, inbound inspection, third-party authentication support, tamper-evident tagging, and after-sales review.

Items are mainly sourced from Chrome Hearts boutiques, professional buyers, and partner stores. Every item is checked before shipping.

Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.

Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.

Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

If you have any authenticity concern after delivery, keep the item, tags, packaging, and authentication proof intact, then contact dedicated support for review.

If this is your first order and you prefer a secured checkout path, you can also purchase through the Taobao store or WeChat mini program. Contact support for details.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?

For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.

3. What packaging is included?

Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.

Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.

Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.

Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.

If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.

4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?

Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.

Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.

5. What should I know about craftsmanship?

Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.

Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.

6. What is a buyer store?

A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.

CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.

To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.

7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?

A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.

A buyer store works with professional buyer teams and overseas partner stores, so supply is broader and less limited by one person or one location.

8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?

Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.

9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.

Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.

If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.

Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.

10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?

Ring pattern examples across different sizes

Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.

11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?

Chrome Hearts silver oxidation color example

Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.

12. What are the official CHHES channels?

Please use official CHHES channels: www.chhes.com, WeChat mini program chhes, Taobao store chhes, WeChat chhes2, Douyin chhes, RED chhes1, Kuaishou chhes, and Weibo chhes.

If a store has a similar name, unusually low pricing, or cannot be verified by official support, contact CHHES support before ordering.
