Bearbrick, also widely known as the block bear, is a toy produced by Japanese company Medicom. It was officially launched in August 2001, and by 2009 the 18 th generation had been released. It is distributed in mainland China by PPW.
Nicknames: Bearbrick, be@rbrick, BB, block bear, Brick Bear cub, versatile Brick Bear.
Bearbrick overview:
Styles:Each Bearbrick generation features base models including BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC (Base Model):Each series releases in one signature color. The chest features one glossy bead and nine letters that spell B E A R B R I C K when combined.
JELLYBEAN (Transparent Model):Each generation features transparent colors, primarily transparent with varying color releases.
PATTERN:Each generation showcases different patterns, prints, or special motifs.
FLAG:Each generation features a base national flag colorway.

Each generation also includes a varying number of hidden variants. The official does not disclose these designs—players must discover them on their own.

Version:Regional versions like "Japanese" or "Hong Kong" simply refer to their point of sale. The toys themselves are identical—same manufacturer, same product. The only difference is the required certification labels due to local regulations. The mainland version is exactly the same as the Japanese version.
Physical Characteristics:
Head:Classic bear-head design with equal-sized ears (distinct from Qee's asymmetric ears), subtly rounded cheek and mouth area, small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank body), head rotates 360° at the neck
Body:Belly rounded, back straight
Arms:100% style features swivel shoulders, pincer-like hands with no fingers, hands swivel at wrists (the defining feature that sets it apart from Popobe and other bear figurines)
Waist:Rotates 360° freely; hips slightly extend downward.
Legs:Thighs rotate freely in all directions at the hip joint. Instep slightly extends forward with two round holes on each foot. Sole is flat with one round hole per foot. Legs have a cubic silhouette. Version info typically appears on the back of the leg.
Disassembly:In principle, a Bearbrick's head, arms, and legs can all be detached from the torso (just pull hard—but the hands cannot be removed). Frequent disassembly is not recommended, however, as the joints will loosen over time, eventually becoming permanently loose and wobbly.
400% and 1000% Special Notes:These two sizes are identical in shape—just larger. However, their arms and legs rotate only forward and backward within a single plane; they cannot swing outward. This is because their larger size requires internal gear mechanisms, unlike the 100%, which uses simple snap-together parts. These two sizes are also non-disassemblable—never use force.
Origin:Bearbrick's limbs and body resemble a block figure because it adopts the Kubrick form factor. Kubrick originated from LEGO's block figures, and Medicom built upon this to design Bearbrick.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?

9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
