Bearbrick is the beloved block bear toy produced by Japanese company Medicom. First launched in August 2001, the 18 th generation arrived by 2009. Mainland China distribution is handled by PPW.
Also known as: Bearbrick, be@rbrick, BB, brick bear, Brisk Bear, Baibrrick (common Chinese nicknames).
Bearbrick Overview:
Series:Each generation of Bearbrick includes base models: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC Base Model:Each edition releases a new color as its signature shade, featuring one glossy bead on the chest and nine letters that spell out B E A R B R I C K.
JELLYBEAN Transparent:Each edition features a transparent base, with different color variations released over time.
PATTERN Design:Each generation features different designs, prints, or special motifs.
FLAG collection:Each generation includes a basic national flag series.
HORROR collection:Every generation of this anime character is terrifyingly designed.
CUTE collection:Each generation features a cute design, most created by female designers.
ANIMAL collection:Each generation features an animal-inspired design—it doesn't have to be a real animal. The iconic Hello Kitty from the 18 collection is a prime example.
SF Sci-Fi Models:Featuring a well-known sci-fi icon as the key design element.
ARTIST Models:Specially designed by renowned artists in very limited quantities. (2 pieces per edition)
Each edition also features a varying number of hidden editions whose designs are not officially disclosed—only to be discovered by collectors themselves.
Sizes:Six sizes available: 3.5 cm (50%), 5 cm (70%), 7 cm (100%), 14.5 cm (200%), 28 cm (400%), and 70 cm (1000%)
Specifications:Each generation includes a birth certificate card for every Bearbrick, along with limited or hidden editions to enhance the collecting experience.
Materials:Bearbrick is primarily made from ABS and PVC, with some limited editions crafted from metal, wood, or flocked materials.
Origin:Most are manufactured in mainland China, with a small number of limited editions produced overseas.
Version:Players often refer to "JP version" or "HK version," but these only indicate where the item is sold—there is no actual difference in the product itself. All are made by the same manufacturer. Depending on local regulations in each market, different certification labels may be applied, but everything else is identical. The Chinese Mainland version available for purchase is exactly the same as the Japanese version.
Physical characteristics:
Head:Features a classic bear-head shape with two ears of equal size (unlike Qee's mismatched ears), slightly rounded cheeks and lips, a small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (base body), and a head that can rotate 360° at the neck joint.
Body:Bulging belly, straight back
Arms:100% version features full swivel at shoulders, pincer-style hands with no fingers, and full swivel at wrists (this is the defining feature that sets it apart from Popobe and other bear figures)
Waist:Rotates 360° freely; hips slightly extend downward.
Legs:Rotates freely in all directions at the thigh joint. Top of foot slightly extends forward with two circular holes on each foot. Flat sole with one round hole per foot. Cube-shaped leg form. Version info typically on the back of the leg.
Disassembly:In principle, a Bearbrick's head, arms, and legs can all be separated from the torso (just pull them off with some force—though the hands cannot be detached). However, this is not recommended for play. After too many separations, the connection points will loosen, eventually leading to a "habitually loose" state: no structural integrity, just limp and wobbly.
400%, 1000% Special Note:These two sizes are identical in shape to smaller Bearbricks, just larger. However, their arms and legs can only rotate within the front-back plane and cannot move sideways. This is because, due to the larger size, the internal mechanism uses gears—unlike the 100% size which is simply modular assembly. Of course, these two sizes are also non-disassembleable, so never attempt to force them apart...
Origin:Bearbrick's limbs and body resemble a block figure because the design is based on Kubrick. Kubrick originated from LEGO's block-figure toys, and Medicom adapted this concept to create Bearbrick.

1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?
CHHES follows a five-step authenticity process: sourcing review, inbound inspection, third-party authentication support, tamper-evident tagging, and after-sales review.
Items are mainly sourced from Chrome Hearts boutiques, professional buyers, and partner stores. Every item is checked before shipping.
Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.
Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.
Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?
A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.
CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.
To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.
7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?
A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.
A buyer store works with professional buyer teams and overseas partner stores, so supply is broader and less limited by one person or one location.
8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?
Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.
9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
