Bearbrick, widely known as the building block bear, is a toy produced by Japanese company MediumICOM. It was officially launched in August 2001, and by 2009 the 18 th generation had been released. Mainland China distribution is handled by PPW.

Bearbrick Overview
Styles:Each Bearbrick series includes base models: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC Base Model:Each series launches one signature color. The chest features a bright bead and nine letters that spell out B E A R B R I C K.
JELLYBEAN Clear:Each edition features a transparent colorway. While the transparent base remains, different colors are released over time.
PATTERN Version:Each edition features different patterns, prints, or special designs.
FLAG:Each generation features a core flag-themed design.
HORROR:Iconic horror animation characters across generations.
CUTE (Cute Style):Within each generation, one cute design is selected, most often created by female designers.
ANIMAL (Animal Style):Each generation features a design with animal elements—not necessarily real animals. The 18 series includes the iconic Hello Kitty.
SF Sci-Fi Style:Features a recognizable sci-fi icon.
ARTIST Artist Edition:Specially designed by a renowned artist, extremely limited. (2 pieces per generation)
Each generation also includes a varying number of secret styles, which are not officially announced—collectors must discover them on their own.

Specifications:Each generation includes a birth card for every bear, plus one or several limited or hidden editions to enhance the collecting experience.
Material:Bearbrick's primary materials are ABS and PVC, with select limited editions crafted from metal, wood, or flocked finishes.
Origin:Most are produced in mainland China, with a small number of limited editions made abroad.
Version:What collectors often refer to as the "Japanese version" or "Hong Kong version" is simply a distinction based on the region of sale—there is no actual difference in the product itself. All are produced by the same manufacturer. The only variation may be different certification labels required by local regulations. Everything else is identical. Mainland China versions are exactly the same as Japanese versions.
Physical characteristics:
Head:Typical bear head: ears equal in size (unlike Qee's mismatched ears), slightly puffed cheeks and snout, small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank face), head rotates 360° at neck
Body:Belly rounded, back straight
Arms:100% version features arms that rotate freely at the shoulders, claw-shaped hands with no fingers, and hands that rotate at the wrists (this is the key distinguishing feature from popobe and other bear figures)
Waist:Can rotate 360° freely with slightly extended hips.
Legs:Legs rotate freely in all directions at the upper thigh. The instep extends slightly forward with two round holes on each foot. The sole is flat with one round hole in the center of each sole. The leg has a cubic block shape. The back of the leg typically displays version information.
Disassembly:In principle, the head, arms, and legs of a Bearbrick can be separated from the torso (just pull hard—the hands cannot be detached). However, this is not recommended for play. After repeated separation, the connection points will loosen, eventually leading to 'habitual disassembly'—the parts lose their snug fit, becoming wobbly and loose.
400%, 1000% Special Notes:These two sizes of Bearbrick are identical in shape, just larger. However, their arms and legs can only rotate forward and backward within the same plane and cannot move sideways. This is due to the larger size requiring internal gear design, unlike the 100% which is simply modular assembly. Of course, these two sizes are also not detachable—never apply excessive force.
Origin:Bearbrick's hands, feet and body resemble a modular figure because Bearbrick adopted the Kubrick design. The term Kubrick originated from LEGO's modular figure toys, and Medicom Company designed Bearbrick based on this.
Characteristics:Bearbrick's widespread popularity stems from its innovative design and meticulous painting, alongside Medicom Toy's strategic positioning. By merging street culture, film, and fashion with Bearbrick through cross-industry collaborations with global artists, designers, and brands, they created collectible art pieces. Partnerships with streetwear labels often sparked overnight queues. As a result, prices climbed—and acquiring them later for a collection requires significant investment.

1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?
CHHES follows a five-step authenticity process: sourcing review, inbound inspection, third-party authentication support, tamper-evident tagging, and after-sales review.
Items are mainly sourced from Chrome Hearts boutiques, professional buyers, and partner stores. Every item is checked before shipping.
Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.
Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.
Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?
A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.
CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.
To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.
7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?
A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.
A buyer store works with professional buyer teams and overseas partner stores, so supply is broader and less limited by one person or one location.
8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?
Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.
9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
