Bearbrick, widely known as Building Block Bear in China, is a toy produced by Japanese company Medicom. It officially launched in August 2001, and by 2009 the 18 th generation had been released. In mainland China it is distributed by PPW.

Bearbrick Basic Introduction
Style:Each Bearbrick series features base models across categories: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC Basic Series:Each series releases a signature colorway. A single shiny bead adorns the chest, accompanied by 9 letters that spell out B E A R B R I C K.
JELLYBEAN Transparent:Each generation features translucent colors. While translucent finishes are the core, different colors are released over time.
PATTERN:Each generation features different motifs, prints, or special patterns.
FLAG:Each series also features a basic country flag design.
HORROR Horror Series:Anime characters that are terrifying in every generation.
CUTE:A cute design selected from each generation, mostly by female designers.
ANIMAL:Each generation features an animal motif—not necessarily a real animal. The 18 series showcases the iconic Hello Kitty.
SF Sci-Fi style:Centered around a well-known sci-fi character.
ARTIST Artist style:Collaborative designs created by invited renowned artists, produced in very limited quantities. (2 pieces per generation)
Additionally, each generation includes a varying number of hidden styles that are not officially disclosed—collectors must discover them on their own.
Size:Six sizes: 50% (3.5 cm), 70% (5 cm), 100% (7 cm), 200% (14.5 cm), 400% (28 cm), and 1000% (70 cm)
Specifications:Each generation includes a birth certificate for every bear, with one or more limited or hidden editions released to enhance the collecting experience.
Material:BE@RBRICK's primary materials are ABS and PVC, with select limited editions crafted from metal, wood, or flocked surfaces.
Origin:Most are produced in mainland China, with a small number of limited editions made abroad.
Version:When collectors refer to "Japanese version" or "Hong Kong version," these simply indicate the region of sale—no differences exist in the toys themselves. All are manufactured by the same factory. Different regions may require different certification labels due to varying regulations, but the products are otherwise identical. The Mainland version available for purchase is exactly the same as the Japanese version.
Physical characteristics:
Head:Typical bear head features: ears of equal size (unlike Qee's asymmetric ears), slightly puffed cheeks, small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank body), head rotates 360° at the neck
Torso:Rounded belly, straight back
Arms:100% model: full shoulder rotation; claw-shaped, fingerless hands; full wrist rotation (signature feature distinguishing it from popobe and other bear toys)
Waist:Full 360° rotation; hips slightly extended downward.
Legs:Legs can rotate freely 360° around the thigh joint. The tops of the feet extend slightly forward, each with two round holes. The sole is flat with one round hole per foot. The leg has a cubic silhouette. Version info is typically found on the back of the leg.
Disassembly:By design, Bearbrick's head, arms, and legs can all be detached from the torso (a firm pull does the job; hands are non-removable). However, frequent disassembly is not recommended—repeated separation loosens the connectors over time, eventually leading to 'habitual detachment,' where parts hang loosely and wobble without stable bone-to-bone contact.
400%, 1000% special notes:These two Bearbrick sizes share the same body shape—simply larger. However, their arms and legs only rotate forward and backward in a single plane, unable to move sideways. This is due to the larger size requiring internal gear mechanisms, unlike the 100% which uses simple snap-together parts. These sizes are also non-disassemblable—never use force.
Origin:Bearbrick's limbs and torso resemble a brick-figure design, as Bearbrick adopted the Kubrick aesthetic. Kubrick originated from LEGO's block figures, and Medicom built Bearbrick based on this concept.
Character:The reason Bearbrick has achieved widespread popularity lies not only in its innovative design and meticulous painting but also in how Medicom Toy found the right entry point—crossing over trends, street culture, and film with Bearbrick to create entirely new art forms. 2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?

9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
