Bearbrick, the iconic block bear toy produced by Japanese company Medicom, officially launched in August 2001. By 2009, the 18 th generation had been released. Mainland China distribution is handled by PPW.

Version:Collectors often refer to 'Japanese version' or 'Hong Kong version,' but these only indicate the sales region—the toys themselves are identical, all produced by the same manufacturer. Different regions may require different certification labels due to local regulations, but the products are otherwise exactly the same. The mainland version available in China is identical to the Japanese version.

Head:Iconic bear-head features: equal-sized ears (unlike Qee's mismatched ears), slightly puffed cheeks and lips, small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank base), head can rotate 360° at the neck
Torso:Belly rounded, back straight
Arms:100% model features fully rotating shoulders, pincer-style hands with no separate fingers, and wrists that rotate freely—a key distinguishing trait from popobe and other bear plush designs
Waist:Can rotate 360° freely; hip slightly extends downward.
Legs:Can rotate freely at the upper thigh in all directions. Top of foot extends slightly forward with two round holes per foot. Flat sole with one round hole per foot. Cube-shaped leg. Version info typically on back of leg.
Disassembly:In principle, Bearbrick's head, arms, and legs can be detached from the torso (just pull them off—the hands are fused). However, repeated disassembly is not recommended, as the connectors will loosen over time, eventually leading to 'habitual separation' with parts dangling loosely.
400%, 1000% Special Note:The 400% and 1000% Bearbricks share the same form as the smaller sizes, just scaled up. Due to their larger size, the arms and legs use internal gear mechanisms and can only rotate forward and backward—they cannot swing sideways. Unlike the 100% which uses simple modular assembly, these sizes are not intended for disassembly. Do not attempt to force them apart.
Origin:Bearbrick's arms, legs, and torso resemble a block figure because it adopts the Kubrick form. The term Kubrick originated from the block figures in LEGO toys, on which Medicom designed Bearbrick.
Character:Bearbrick's widespread popularity comes from more than its innovative design and meticulous painting. Medicom found the perfect entry point—blending streetwear, pop culture, and film with Bearbrick to create entirely new works of art. Collaborations with global artists, designers, and lifestyle brands produced limited and special editions. Pairings with streetwear labels drove overnight queues. Prices climbed accordingly, making later acquisitions costly for collectors.

1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?

Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.
Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.
Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?
A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.
CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.
To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.
7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?
A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.

8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?
Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.
9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
