Bearbrick, also known as the building-block bear toy, is a collectible produced by Japanese company Medicom. It officially launched in August 2001, and by 2009 the 18 th generation had been released. Distribution in mainland China is handled by PPW.

Origin:Most Bearbrick figures are manufactured in mainland China, while select limited editions are produced abroad.
Versions:Players often mention 'Japanese version,' 'Hong Kong version,' etc., but these only refer to the region of sale. There is no difference in the actual toys—they are all produced by the same manufacturer. The only variation may be additional certification labels required by local regulations. Everything else is identical. The mainland version available is exactly the same as the Japanese version.
Physical Characteristics:
Head:Typical bear head with equal-sized ears (unlike Qee's mismatched ears), slightly puffed cheeks and lips, small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank face), head rotates 360° at the neck
Torso:Rounded belly, straight back
Arms:100% style features arms that rotate freely at the shoulders, pincer-shaped hands with no fingers, hands rotate freely at the wrists — the key distinguishing feature from popobe and other bear plush toys
Waist:Can rotate 360° freely; hips slightly extend downward.
Legs:Can rotate freely in all directions at the hip joint. Tops of feet extend slightly forward, each with two circular holes. Soles are flat with one circular hole in each foot. Legs are blocky/cube-shaped. Version info is typically on the back of the leg.
Disassembly:In principle, the head, arms, and legs of a Bearbrick can be detached from the torso (just pull hard). The hands cannot be separated. However, this is not recommended—frequent separation loosens the joints, eventually leading to permanent looseness where parts swing loosely and lack structural support.
400%, 1000% Special Note:These two sizes are identical in form—just larger in scale. However, their arms and legs can only rotate forward and backward in a single plane; they cannot move sideways. This is due to the larger size and internal gear mechanism, unlike the 100% version which uses simple modular assembly. Also, these two sizes are not disassemblable—never force them apart.
Origin:Bearbrick's hands, feet, and body resemble building-block figures because Bearbrick inherits the design of Kubrick. The term Kubrick originated from LEGO's building-block figures, and Medicom Company designed Bearbrick based on this concept.
Personality:Bearbrick's widespread popularity stems from its innovative design and meticulous painting, but also from Medicom's strategic positioning. By crossing over with street culture, films, and fashion, Bearbrick evolved into an entirely new art form. Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.
Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.
Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?
A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.
CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.

7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?

8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?
Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.
9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
