Timothée Chalamet wearing Chrome Hearts at the 2026 Golden Globes

It's hard to predict what actor Timothée Chalamet will wear on the red carpet. He might debut Haider Ackermann's first Tom Ford collection, dress as Bob Dylan (especially 2003-era Dylan with the golden bangs), or show up in a tracksuit at the Met Gala, but his looks always manage to attract, entertain, and/or baffle the public.

At tonight's 2026 Golden Globes, this actor accomplished all three tasks — of course, at this awards ceremony, he won his first Best Actor trophy — wearing an outfit any self-respecting, New York-raised trendsetter would appreciate: a custom velvet Chrome Hearts three-piece suit, with a pair of black boots underneath, from this Gothic California brand's collaboration with Timberlands.

This was one of several times in the past year that Chalamet wore custom Chrome Hearts. Last Valentine's Day, he wore a pale pink Chrome Hearts tracksuit for the Berlin premiere of Complete Unknown. He wore a custom varsity jacket and cross-stitched jeans to a Knicks playoff game. He and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner wore matching Marty-Supreme-orange Chrome Hearts looks for the Los Angeles premiere of Marty Supreme.

At the Golden Globes, the newly crowned Best Actor winner skipped the required collared shirt in favor of a casual, '90s layered look: a simple black T-shirt. His short hair and overall vibe made me think of a young Johnny Depp, charming Freddie Prinze Jr., brooding Keanu Reeves, even chromed-out Matt LeBlanc. Timi finished off his all-black look with silver accessories: a Cartier Panthère de Cartier pendant necklace and a black Urban Jürgensen watch.
