Bearbrick, widely known as the building-block bear, is a toy produced by Japan's Medicom Company. It was officially launched in August 2001, and by 2009 the 18 th generation had been released. The mainland China agent is PPW.
Nicknames: Bearbrick, be@rbrick, BB, building-block bear, Brick Bear, Versatile Brick.
Bearbrick: Basic Introduction
Style:Each Bearbrick series includes standard variants: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, and ANIMAL.
BASIC (standard):Each series releases one color as its signature shade. A single accent bead sits on the chest, along with 9 letters that spell out B E A R B R I C K.
JELLYBEAN (transparent):Each generation features translucent colors. Primarily translucent, with varying color releases.
PATTERNEach generation features different designs, prints, or special motifs.
FLAG:Each generation includes a basic flag-themed series.
HORROR:Haunting anime icon across every generation.
CUTE Collection:Each iteration features a cute design, most created by female designers.
ANIMAL Collection:Each generation includes an animal-themed design. These don't have to be real animals—the iconic Hello Kitty appears in the 18 series.
SF Sci-Fi Style:Featuring a well-known sci-fi character as the design element.
ARTIST Artist Collaboration Style:Specially designed by renowned artists with very limited quantities (2 per series)
Each series also features a varying number of hidden designs that are not officially revealed—collectors must discover them on their own.
Size:Seven sizes available: 3.5 cm (50%), 5 cm (70%), 7 cm (100%), 14.5 cm (200%), 28 cm (400%), and 70 cm (1000%)
Specifications:Each generation includes a birth certificate for every Bearbrick, with one or more limited or hidden editions released to enhance the collectible experience.
Material:Bearbrick is primarily made from ABS and PVC, with select limited editions crafted from metal, wood, or flocked materials.
Origin:Most are manufactured in mainland China, with a small number of limited editions produced abroad.
Version:The so-called "Japanese version" and "Hong Kong version" that collectors often mention refer only to the region of sale—there is no difference in the product itself. All are made by the same manufacturer. Due to different regional regulations, they may carry different certification labels, but otherwise they are identical. The mainland version available for purchase is exactly the same as the Japanese version.
Physical characteristics:
Head:Typical bear-head characteristics with equal-sized ears (unlike Qee's mismatched ear sizes), slightly puffy cheeks and snout, small rounded nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank body), head rotates 360° freely at the neck.
Body:Rounded belly, straight back
Arms:100% model features free-rotating shoulders, pincer-style claw hands without individual fingers, and free-rotating wrists (key distinguishing feature from popobe and other bear collectibles)
Waist:360° free rotation with slightly extended hips.
Legs:Free rotation at the thigh root in all directions. Dorsum slightly extended forward with two round holes on each foot. Flat sole with one round hole per foot. Cubic leg shape. Version info typically on leg back.
Disassembly:The head, arms, and legs of a Bearbrick can all be detached from the torso (just pull hard — the hands are the exception). However, this is not recommended; frequent disassembly loosens the connectors, and over time the figure will become habitually loose — boneless, wobbly, and unsteady.
Special Notes for 400% and 1000%:These two sizes share the same basic form — just larger. However, their arms and legs can only rotate within the plane of the body and cannot move sideways, due to the larger size and internal gear mechanism (unlike the 100% version, which is simply modular assembly). Additionally, these two sizes cannot be disassembled — do not attempt to pry them apart.

Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.
Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?
A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.
CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.
To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.
7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?
A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.

8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?
Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.
9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
