Bearbrick, the iconic block bear toy produced by Japanese company MediumICOM, officially launched in August 2001, with the 18 th generation released by 2009. Distributed in Mainland China by PPW.

Bearbrick Overview
Styles:Each Bearbrick generation includes basic models: BASIC, JELLYBEAN, PATTERN, FLAG, HORROR, SF, CUTE, ANIMAL
BASIC base model:Each generation releases one color as its signature. It features a shiny bead on the chest, followed by 9 letters that spell B E A R B R I C K.
JELLYBEAN translucent model:Each generation features translucent coloring as the main style, with different colors released.
PATTERN Pattern styleEach generation features different patterns, prints, or special designs
FLAG Flag styleEach generation includes a basic flag series

Each series also includes hidden editions in varying quantities. Their designs are not officially disclosed—only discovered by players themselves.

Specifications:Each generation includes a birth certificate card for every bear, plus one or more limited-edition or secret variants to enhance the collectible experience.
Material:Bearbrick is primarily made of ABS and PVC, with select limited editions featuring metal, wood, or flocked materials.
Origin:Most Bearbrick figures are manufactured in mainland China, with select limited editions produced abroad.
Version:What collectors call "Japanese version" or "Hong Kong version" simply refers to different selling regions—the toys themselves are identical, all made by the same manufacturer. Regional variations may include different certification labels due to local regulations, but nothing else differs. The mainland version is exactly the same as the Japanese version.
Physical characteristics:
Head:Classic bear head features: symmetrical ears (unlike Qee's mismatched ears), slightly puffed cheeks, small round nose protrusion, no mouth or eyes (blank design), head rotates 360° at the neck
Torso:Protruding belly, straight back
Arms:100% size features fully rotatable shoulders, claw-shaped hands without fingers, and wrists that rotate freely—key distinguishing trait from other bear figures.
Waist:360° freely rotatable, hips slightly extended downward.
Legs:Legs rotate freely at the thigh joint in all directions. Slightly extended toe cap with two round holes on each foot. Flat sole with one round hole per sole. Cube-shaped legs. Version info typically on back of leg.
Disassembly:By design, Bearbrick's head, arms, and legs can be detached from the torso with some force—though the hands are fixed. That said, this is not recommended: frequent separation loosens the joints, eventually leading to a "habitual disconnection" where parts dangle and wobble without structural support.
400%, 1000% Special Note:The 1000% and 400% Bearbrick share the same silhouette—just a larger scale. However, their arms and legs rotate only front-to-back on a single plane; they cannot swing outward. This is due to the internal gear mechanism required at this size, unlike the 100% which uses simple modular snapping. Neither of these sizes is meant to be taken apart—never force it.
Origin:Bearbrick's limbs and body resemble block figures because Bearbrick adopted the Kubrick design. The term Kubrick originated from LEGO's block figures; Medicom Company then designed Bearbrick based on this.
Character:Bearbrick's nationwide popularity stems from its innovative design and meticulous painting. Medicom found the perfect entry point—blending streetwear, street culture, and cinema into Bearbrick through cross-over collaborations, creating entirely new art pieces. Partnerships with global artists, designers, and fashion brands yielded limited editions and special releases. Bundled sales with streetwear labels often sparked overnight queues. Prices climbed accordingly, and collecting now requires paying hefty premiums.

1. How does CHHES ensure authenticity?
CHHES follows a five-step authenticity process: sourcing review, inbound inspection, third-party authentication support, tamper-evident tagging, and after-sales review.
Items are mainly sourced from Chrome Hearts boutiques, professional buyers, and partner stores. Every item is checked before shipping.
Jewelry is checked for shape, engraving, handmade finishing, material, and oxidation details. Apparel is checked for anti-counterfeit details, serial information, embroidery labels, and workmanship.
Depending on the item, CHHES can provide a counter receipt scan or copy. Original receipts are kept by the buyer for record keeping.
Items may include a security tag or anti-swap sticker. Authentication after delivery is supported when the tag and packaging remain intact.

2. Why do some clothing items not include a DOG TG?
For Chrome Hearts apparel, US boutiques normally collect the DOG TG at checkout. Most Asian boutiques outside mainland China also collect it.
3. What packaging is included?
Chrome Hearts apparel usually comes in a plain clear plastic bag.
Chrome Hearts jewelry usually comes with a black suede pouch, not a boutique jewelry box.
Chrome Hearts bags usually come with a boutique silk dust bag.
Shopping bags are limited because boutiques usually provide only one shopping bag per buyer visit, not one bag per item.
If extra packaging is needed, it can be selected in the accessories category or on the order submission page.
4. Can CHHES provide boutique receipts?
Boutiques do not issue one separate receipt for each individual item. Contact support if a receipt copy is needed.
Original receipts must be kept by the buyer, so CHHES can only provide scans or copies when available.
5. What should I know about craftsmanship?
Chrome Hearts jewelry is handmade. Slightly unclear engravings, fine scratches, dark dots, or small pits can be normal brand characteristics and are not necessarily quality defects.
Chrome Hearts apparel may show fabric differences, loose threads inside the garment, uneven print clarity, irregular stitching, cracked prints, or wash fading. These can be normal brand characteristics.
6. What is a buyer store?
A buyer store works with professional overseas buyers and partner stores.
CHHES buyers are located worldwide, with many in the United States. They provide first-hand sourcing, and many also maintain domestic warehouses.
To ensure authenticity, items are centralized at the CHHES shipping point, inspected, and then packed for shipment.
7. How is a buyer store different from a personal shopper?
A personal shopper is usually an individual buyer, so sourcing capacity and available styles are limited.
A buyer store works with professional buyer teams and overseas partner stores, so supply is broader and less limited by one person or one location.
8. Why are some items not eligible for return or exchange?
Chrome Hearts boutique purchases are generally not returnable or exchangeable. Items marked as non-returnable or non-exchangeable on the product page follow that policy.
9. Why does silver turn black or yellow?
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes and can turn black or yellow. Sulfur or sulfur dioxide in the air can react with silver and form grey-black silver sulfide.
Oxidation speed varies by body chemistry and environment. Keep silver dry and avoid contact with liquids.
If silver oxidizes, use a polishing cloth or polishing stick. Do not clean Chrome Hearts silver with silver washing liquid.
Some new rings may leave a little black residue at first. This is extra silver powder from the new item and usually disappears after a period of wear.
10. Why can the pattern vary on the same ring style?
Patterns and letters on a ring are adjusted for different ring sizes, so the layout may vary between sizes.
11. Why is the oxidation on silver not very black?
Chrome Hearts oxidation has its own look. It is not always deep black and can appear grey or brown-grey.
