In the early 1890 s of the 19 th century, a pioneering gentleman, Mr. Pexton, from Lancashire in northwest United Kingdom, invented a method to quickly clean and polish the silverware that was very popular during the Victorian era.
This clever Englishman combined a silver-cleaning liquid with a cleverly woven piece of premium cotton cloth to create a silver-polishing cloth.
