Town Talk is a brand with over 100 years of history, founded in the early 1890 s in Lancashire, United Kingdom. It originally began as a method invented by a gentleman named Pexton to quickly clean and polish silverware. He combined silver cleaning solution with quality cotton cloth to create a silver polishing cloth that was convenient, easy to use, and highly effective, becoming a popular topic of conversation in the town. In 1895, United Kingdom Tayton Town Jalk Polish Company was established to specialize in producing gold, silver, and jewelry cleaning and polishing products. The name "Town Talk" comes from "Talk of the Town," meaning a hot topic in the town. Tayton Town Jalk Polish Company has always upheld fine British traditions of high quality, using carefully selected natural materials to craft its professional products. Its product line includes gold, silver, and jewelry cleaning and polishing products that leave gold, silver, and jewelry bright and gleaming, looking like new for years. For its brand image, the renowned artist Austin Knight designed a portrait of a gentleman, which evolved into Mr. Town Talk and became the product's unique mascot, still in use today.
